On Friday, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Telangana State chapter had condemned the assault of Dr Dilip Gude of Virinchi Hospitals along with the ransacking of the hospital premiseson 27th May. Dr D Lava Kumar Reddy, IMA State unit president and Dr B Narender Reddy, State unit secretary stated that the Indian Medical Association, Telangana State chapter has strongly condemned the damage and physical assault on doctors along with the supporting staff of Virinchi Hospitals by a crowd of 16 people.

The statement further stated that if they had any complaint, a procedure is there to be followed but instead they resorted to physical violence and damaged the hospital property, which is a criminal offence. The management of the Virinchi Hospitals has also released a statement and claimed that the incident has resulted in extreme stress on the 150 patients who are undergoing treatment at the hospital for several ailments. Hospital stated that a formal complaint is lodged in the police station and has requested them to investigate the matter further and take appropriate action.
